Licensing & Registrations

TAX NOVA GLOBAL SOLUTIONS LLP assists businesses in obtaining all required statutory registrations, government licenses, and industry certifications. From MSME and FSSAI to IEC and trademark registration, we ensure your business has the legal foundations it needs to operate compliantly and confidently.

Starting or expanding a business in India requires a range of regulatory registrations and licenses depending on the nature, size, and sector of operations. Our licensing and registration practice covers the identification of applicable requirements, preparation of applications, coordination with regulatory authorities, and post-registration compliance advisory.

  • Single-window coordination — We identify all applicable registrations for your business and manage the application process across multiple departments.
  • MSME & Startup benefits — Udyam registration and DPIIT recognition to unlock government schemes, credit benefits, and startup tax exemptions.
  • Import-export readiness — IEC registration to enable cross-border trade, coordinated with GST LUT and customs compliance requirements.
  • IP protection — Trademark registration support to protect your brand name, logo, and intellectual property under the Trade Marks Act.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about our Licensing & Registrations service

Is MSME registration mandatory?

Udyam registration is not mandatory but is highly beneficial. It provides access to priority sector lending, government tender benefits, protection from delayed payment under the MSMED Act, and lower compliance costs under certain regulations.

What is the IEC and who needs it?

The Import Export Code (IEC) is a 10-digit code issued by DGFT and is mandatory for any business importing or exporting goods or services (except exempt categories). It is a one-time registration with no renewal required.

How long does trademark registration take?

After filing, trademark examination typically takes 3–12 months. If no objection is raised and no third-party opposition is filed, the trademark is registered and a certificate is issued. The entire process can take 18–24 months from filing to registration.
